Hi, My name is Lourdes Ulanday, 72 years old, my friends and family call me Ode or simply call me "mommy."Two weeks ago, I was rushed to the hospital due to an accident where I tripped and my head hit the floor badly. Because of the accident, the doctor had to stitch my forehead due to the strong impact. While I was at the hospital, the doctors did a thorough check on me since I am also diabetic. I had an infection that needed to be addressed ASAP so they also did a surgery on my infected foot. After 2 days, I was able to get home.Now, I am back in the hospital again due to complications. I was rushed to the hospital again for the 2nd time due to difficulty in breathing. We found out that there is fluid in my lungs and heart. If a lot of water gets into the lungs and is not expelled, it can irritate the lining of the lungs and cause fluid buildup ― a condition called pulmonary edema.The procedures that need to get done are Thoracentesis ― a procedure to remove fluid or air from around the lungs and Pericardiocentesis ― a procedure done to remove fluid that has built up in the sac around the heart (pericardium).My running bill right now is already at PHP 150,000+ pesos and counting.Normally, we would keep this on our own and try to manage the overwhelming financial needs within the family. However, it has come to a point that we need to ask for support. We humbly ask for your assistance. The amount raised will cover the increasing medical bills and expenses of the family. Early this year, i was infected by COVID19. I suffered for two weeks (January 7-20) trying to recover from the virus. I decided to went home quarantine since i know i can manage my symptoms. The healing process was not easy in all aspects - physically, emotionally and financially.. Yes, i got broke financially that time but who cares? Whats important is for me to recover immediately even i spent almost all my savings. Thank God, i recovered i was able to get back to work immediately.Little did i know, i was pregnant at the same time. I was just able to confirm it by February 9 when i had my ultrasound and found out that it was already 5 weeks and 4 days.. Unfortunately, i was suffering from Subchorionic hematoma and was forced to have a bedrest and stop working. I was devastated by that time because my partner and i got separated few weeks early so i have to face this alone. Again, i need large amount of money for my medication and for my baby's much needed nutrients.. However, my savings was not enough that time so i had to loan some from my friends.. I will do everything for my baby to survive. I know God will provide. Two weeks later, i was diagnosed with BLIGHTED OVUM. My baby havent developed as per my Obgyne. I was advised to take madicine so i will have a miscarriage the normal way. But i didnt lose hope still.. I tried to seek for a second opinion and after two more weeks, the second doctor confirmed it.. I lose hope.. I was devastated once more. And i had to undergo D&C procedure which costed me around $800 which again, i loaned from a friend. It depressed me.Recovering was not easy emotionally and physically adding that I am so broke financially. I am in debt for almost $2500 now and i am trying to raise fund not to just pay for it but for me to be able to start up. I am planning to start a business in which i will sell foods or anything that i can offer.. In that way i can earn enough money to pay for my debt and to provide my everyday needs. Please help me and have mercy. Once a recovered from all of these, i will definitely pay it forward. God bless your golden heart.
